As I said in my last post, we went to a birthday party this weekend. Afterwards she started talking back to me so on the way home I told her that I was upset and when she talks back it makes me not want to take her places and do fun things. So last night we were on our way home from church and Enzo was fussing in the car. Pearl looked at him and said in her most stern voice: “Enzo! I have something to tell you. When you cry like that it makes me not want to take you places!” Then she says to us: “I’m going to tell Enzo something else.” She turns back to Enzo: “Enzo, if you keep crying I’m going to take something away from you that you like.” Good Lord! I think we need to buy another parenting book… Yesterday Pearl and I went to New Jersey for her friend Marishka’s 4th birthday party. We had a such a good time! Pearl and I chit-chatted in the car on the way there and she was thrilled that we got to take a bathroom break at an “Old McDonald’s with a playground!” When I first told her we were going to a dance party she insisted that she would NOT dance, but once we got there she put on her “birdie dance dress” and spun her little heart out! Afterwards we got to go to Marishka’s house and walked to the nearby beach where the girls made sand castles. It was a great day to see our friends and enjoy some quality mother-daughter time. xoxo Just an evening with the kids. -Morgan Pearl: I’m throwing these balls. I’m good at throwing things, like balls and bricks. Me: Where do you throw bricks? Pearl: At Papa’s house! -Morgan Question: What do car keys, lip gloss, two small books, a teething ring, a wooden block and a pretend orange have in common? … Answer: They are all items I found in Enzo’s diaper pail today. That’s why we call him “Mister Mischief!” |
