Pearl Quotes of the Day

It’s been a while since I posted some Pearl quotes so here’s a few from the past month or so:

I saw Pearl playing with a necklace.
Me – “Would you like me to put that on you?”
Pearl – “No, it’s broken.”
Me – “Who broke it?”
Pearl – “I did.”
Me – “Why would you do that?”
Pearl – “Because I’m good at breaking things.”

Whenever we go somewhere I let her get a pack of “sharkies” (fruit snacks) out of the pantry for the ride. Today she told me she would open them herself because that’s her job. When I asked her what my job is she told me that it’s, “Putting on band-aids.”

The other day we were passing a dress shop in the mall so I said, “Look at all those pretty dresses, Pearl!” She looked at them and then said, “I’m pretty too!”

Today it was hot so she wanted me to turn on the “A-B-C.” (a/c)

And here’s a sweet one:
I made some mac-n-cheese and put it in a bowl for her. She started eating it and said, “MMM! Mommy, you make the best macawoni and cheese in the whole world!” Then she looked me in the eye and said, “I love you, Mama. I’ll take care of you.” And my heart just about melted like velveeta.

Enzo is ONE!

A week ago our sweet baby Enzo turned one year old.

I know I say this all the time, but I can’t believe how fast these kids are growing up! He says “Hi” and waves. He loves to read books now. I’ve caught him standing on his own for a few seconds here and there. And he’s still the friendliest little man you’ve ever seen – I seriously think this kid has a future in politics!

Last week we celebrated Enzo’s birthday with a fun visit from Grammie and then we headed up to Papa and Gaga’s house for a family birthday party and our first “camp-out” with the kids (in the backyard).
