Start Them Early

Pearl helps wash the winter wheels and Daddy’s car while Enzo (not pictured) plays on the camping blanket.

Pearl stars in “NUTS”

It’s the simple things with Pearl that are the most interesting. Listen to how her language is influenced by math TV shows. (Team Unizoomi especially) -Morgan

HELMET

This morning we met up with Pearl’s best buddy Margo for some bike-riding in the park. When I brought up Pearl’s helmet she insisted on putting it on right away and keeping it on. Here she is in the parking lot (before Margo even arrived with the bikes):

Fueling up before the big ride (still wearing the helmet):

I wanted to get a pic of them actually riding the bikes, but that only lasted about 5 minutes and then they decided it was time for a snack in the shade…

So cute!

Pearl Huggin’ and Holdin’ Enzo

She’s really taken an interest in her brother the last couple of days. Its so heartwarming to see her want to hold him.

Happy Easter!

Believe it or not, Pearl was just saying, “CHEESE” in this picture:

We had a great morning (although Pearl was a little disappointed that the Easter Bunny wasn’t here in our house) and we’re looking forward to a great day.

Happy Easter!

Love,
Jill

Red-Letter Day!

Today was a very important day for the Turner gals… It was the first time Pearl and I made Rice Krispie treats together! Pearl was so good and pouring, stirring and being patient while the bars cooled. Here’s a pic of her enjoying the sweet, gooey final product:

Easter Prep

We’ve been busy this week getting ready for Easter. First up, we went to the annual egg hunt and Easter party at the Fishkill Rec Center. Here’s one of the three of us amidst the chaos of 100 kids and their parents collecting eggs:

Then the kids got their pictures taken with the “Easter Bunny”:

Is it just me, or does this guy look like he should have a cigarette dangling out of his mouth? He could have at least shaved for the occasion. The fact that the picture was set up in front of a garbage can doesn’t really help matters either. In any case, the kids had fun!

Today Pearl and I decorated the Easter baskets so they’re ready for the Easter Bunny to fill them. Pearl LOVES her basket and has carried it all day long.

In case you are wondering, these are the precious items Pearl has chosen to carry in her beloved basket:
1. An empty juice box
2. An empty ribbon spool
3. An “Avatar” toy she got from McDonald’s over a year ago

She is one of a kind!

This weekend we’ll be dying eggs with her for the first time. Please wish us (and our clothes, rugs and walls) luck!

xoxo

9-Month Checkup

Today I took Enzo for his 9-month checkup. He’s doing great! He is 22 pounds, 2 ounces which puts him in the 75th percentile for weight and he’s 31 and a quarter inches long which puts him in the 95th percentile for height! He still has some fluid behind his ears, but the pediatrician isn’t concerned because he’s never had an ear infection. So all in all, our baby boy is AWESOME (but I knew that already).

GOODBYE!!!

More Philly Pics!

We had a great time in Philadelphia. Here are some more pics from our quick trip!

The Please Touch Museum was great! I would highly recommend it to anyone with kids:

Enzo enjoyed outdoor dining:

Morgan took the kids to the zoo while I was in my meeting on Monday so he’ll post some more pics from his camera soon.

Have a good day!
