We had ANOTHER snow day yesterday where we were stuck inside all day so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get ready for Valentine’s Day!

Pearl had fun helping decorate our hearts and playing with some Valentine’s Day stickers.
Here’s a pic of Enzo and Pearl playing quietly near each other.

Last night was a little rough. Enzo woke up at 2:00 and fussed for a while then got himself back to sleep but then he woke up at 5:00 SCREAMING. We went into his room to check on him and he had a fever of 102 and it was obvious that his teeth were bothering him. Fortunately some tylenol and baby orajel did the trick and he slept a little more with us, but I feel so badly for him. Hopefully they’ll come through soon and he’ll get a little relief so we can have this happy boy back again:

It’s another cold, icy day outside but hopefully we’ll find some fun things to keep us busy.
Have a good one!

How did this happen? My baby boy is growing up way too fast, but every day has been a joy. Before he was born I couldn’t imagine loving a new baby as much as I love Pearl, but now I can’t even describe how connected I am with this amazing little guy. He makes me smile even when I’m overwhelmed and I can’t tell you how often I thank God for blessing me with this wonderful creature. I think he’s even getting close to winning over Pearl!
Here’s our sweet Enzo at 6 months:

Last year our Parent and Tot class teacher told us to bring in one picture every week of things Pearl likes and paste them onto a collage. Pearl either chose the pics from magazines and photos or told me things she liked and then I’d find something to put onto the collage. This is the final product:

They are, clockwise from upper left:
*Yogurt
*Elvis (Gaga and Papa’s dog)
*Popcorn
*Seashells
*Clifford
*Yo Gabba Gabba
*Easter Eggs
*Rubber duckies
*Clifford (the pictures were so small that we added two)
She is SO PROUD of this. And I’m SO PROUD of her.

Pearl to Mommy: “What shape is your tummy?”
Mommy: “What shape do you think it is?”
Pearl: “It’s a triangle.”
Mommy: “Oh. What shape is your tummy?”
Pearl: “It’s a trapezoid.”
I can’t make this stuff up!

In the past two weeks my baby boy has joined the illustrious world of eating solid foods! He started with rice, moved up to oatmeal and now he’s eating carrots and squash. He loves it! He kicks his chubby little feet when he sees the bowl hit the table.

I can’t even describe how cute this little boy is. Not only is he physically ADORABLE but he has the most amazingly sweet personality. To prove my point, here’s some pics of my dapper boy and his new BFF Lila on their first New Year’s Eve together.

Notice his arm around her? If that wasn’t cute enough, check this out:

Cutest baby ever! (and Lila is pretty darn cute too!)

Question: What do you get when you combine Mickey Mouse, a ballerina, a skeleton and a butterfly?
Answer: Just another night watching TV at the Turner house.

Today, while we were having a snack, I looked at Pearl and said, “I love you so much.” She looked back at me and said, “I love you so quack.”
She’s awesome.

Uncle Tate and Aunt Kyung sent us a Christmas card with owls on it and Pearl LOVES it. She often walks around the house with it and talks to the owls. Today I overheard her say, “What are those owls saying? They’re saying, ‘Hoo-hoo! Get me out of this tree!’”
Haha!

I hope you all had a safe and happy New Year!
We had a great Christmas. We went up to my parents’ house for the feast of the seven fishes on Christmas Eve and had a great time visiting with our family.

After that, we went home and Santa came! The four of us had a nice, quiet Christmas morning.

Then we had a Christmas dinner with Papa, Gaga, Uncle Tate, Aunt Kyung, Uncle Jordan, Grandma Cozza and ELVIS!

The day after Christmas Grammie came for a visit and got here right before SNOWMAGGEDON, 2010. We took lots of pics in the snow, but they’re all still on Grammie’s camera so I’ll post them soon.
It was a great Christmas vacation, but now it’s back to reality so I should go get the kids ready for the day.
Love,
Jill
