Little Gym Graduation!

Pearl ended another semester at the Little Gym and got her very own ribbon!

And as an added bonus, we got a rare photo of the FOUR of us!

Five Years Online!

Five years ago today, we put up our first post! This blog started as a place to share information about our wedding plans and from there grew to include pictures and movies of our two wonderful children. Over 800(!) posts later we’re still happy and going strong. Thanks for all the comments over the years. We’ve had fun sharing our ups and downs with you.

My First Happyface

Here’s the kids coloring page from lunch at the diner yesterday. Pearl first put dots for eyes, then a couple minutes later she added a nose. After an onion ring you could see the concentration on her face as she went for it and added a big smile. It’s the first time I’ve seen her draw something other than scribbles and lines! ACTUALLY (inside joke) she drew a pretty good circle a few months ago :-) – Morgan

My Balloon Cheers Me Up

Enzo is still sick! He got over his fever in a day, but not he’s got a runny nose and a cough. He’s on medicine for an ear infection too, so he’s been sleeping a lot and not eating much. The Balloon that Pearl gave him sure cheers him up! All in all, he’s doing well and you can still see a happy boy behind all that snot.

The Turners at Breakfast

Enzo’s fever was pretty much gone this morning. Pearl got to give him the balloon she picked out as a get well present.

Enzo has a virus :(

I spoke too soon. Around 10:00 this morning I took Enzo’s temperature again and it was 102.9! I immediately called our wonderful pediatrician and they got us an appointment for the afternoon. The doctor checked him out and said that Enzo has a little fluid behind his ear drum, but not enough to be an ear infection so my poor little baby had to give a urine sample (not an easy task for an infant) and give blood (not an easy task for a mommy). The tests came back and he has a virus. There’s not much we can do besides let him sleep, keep trying to give him his bottles and give him tylenol. Might be a long night for us but we’re hoping that the fluid in his ear doesn’t turn into an ear infection so please say a prayer that this fever breaks and no one else catches it!

One Blue Star Balloon

Mommy took Enzo to the doctor, so I took Pearl to pick up dinner and a movie. She picked out this balloon to give to Enzo so he’ll feel better!
