Question: What do you get when you combine Halloween with an indecisive Mommy?
Answer: Lots of costumes!
At first I thought it would be cute if the kids were a bobby-soxer and a greaser:

But then Pearl wanted to be a butterfly (like on Team Umizoomi) so we whipped up a costume for our beautiful butterfly:

I wanted Enzo to match Pearl but the caterpillar costumes I found at the costume shops were so expensive so I bought some felt and attempted to make one:

Unfortunately, my sewing skills aren’t the best and by the end of our Halloween party on Thursday the costume was pretty beat up. So last night he was a snuggly little bear for trick-or-treating:

We had so much fun! This was our first year going trick-or-treating with Pearl. She didn’t know what to make of it at first, but by the third house she got the hang of saying “trick-or-treat,” holding out her pumpkin, then thanking the person for the candy. Before we knew it she was dragging us from house to house saying, “Want more candy!” She loved it! The funny part was she never asked to actually eat any of the candy. She was just a butterfly on a mission. It was so cute.
Here’s a family photo – Morgan was “Bot” (again, from Team Umizoomi) and I dressed as a mom who didn’t have a lot of time to come up with a costume:

And last, but not least, we still had Pearl’s lobster costume from her first Halloween so I thought I’d take a picture of Enzo in it too. Here’s Enzo at 3 months:

And here’s Pearl at 4 months:

Hope you all had a safe and happy Halloween!
