When I have to take Pearl somewhere and leave Jill at home I tell her we’re going on a special trip. She gets so excited she doesn’t mind that Mommy isn’t coming along. Here’s Pearl eating a fortune “cracker” while we wait for our Chinese food. She even knows not to eat the fortune, and hands it to me before he digs in!

Pearl doesn’t need expensive toys. Her favorite things seem to be sticks and tree bark. And watching cars pass us by.

Here’s Jill driving our new car for the first time!



Its a 2007 VW Passat. It has only about 19k miles and comes with a warranty until 2013 or 74,000 miles! We had been shopping around for a while, we wanted to take care of this before Baby Boy came along. What a relief to finally pick it up today!

I’m excited about the huge trunk. Jill is super excited because it’s got an automatic transmission!



Here it is back at home. We hope this works out. Pearl has already learnt that Mommy has a black car and Daddy will have a green car

A Benedict Breakfast in Beacon on her Birthday!

Jill tells me that Pearl was watching Yo Gabba Gabba this afternoon, and in the middle of it, she looks right at the TV and says “I’m going to get a cold drink.” She then walked into the kitchen to get her cup from Jill. I guess she didn’t want all the characters to wonder where she was going!
