Pearl is running a fever and we just got back from a checkup. The doctor doesn’t seem too concerned but told us to keep an eye on her over the weekend and keep her hydrated. We stocked up on medicine and are to keep her away from other kids. No church this weekend! Please pray she’s much better in the morning and that this is nothing serious. Love to all, -Morgan

I love that the clocks changed! It’s still light out when I get home and I can play outside with pearl. She was running all over the backyard and pettin her sheep and saying “Queen of the castle” as she stood on the that cement block. I hope we get outside a lot this weekend!

Well, as many of you know, the Turners are expecting another baby! I haven’t wanted to post anything until now because there have been a few minor complications with this pregnancy but I couldn’t resist posting this photo of Pearl kissing my belly so I guess the cat’s out of the bag now!

This pregnancy has been a bit tougher than the first. I was much more nauseous and tired this time around and the doctors found a small bleed so I wasn’t allowed to exercise for the first few months so I’ve gained a bit more weight than I did with Pearl. Fortunately, the bleed healed itself and the nausea went away so things are going better.

I’m 22 weeks pregnant at this point. We had our anatomical ultrasound a few weeks ago and our little boy is growing at a good rate and everything looks good, but they did discover that my placenta is low so I have to go for an additional ultrasound at 28 weeks to see if it’s migrated back up to where it’s supposed to be (which the doctor assured me is what typically happens).

We have been busy working on the house, trying to get as much done now while I still have some energy. It’s been fun to think of new nursery themes and we’re finally putting the finishing touches on Pearl’s room. Someday we might even get to our own bedroom, but that keeps going further and further down the list…

So that’s all for now. Here’s a picture of Pearl after she put on her snow boot all by herself (it was on the wrong foot, but I was still impressed):

I got home from work early tonight an was able to enjoy a wonderful time with the girls.
