We set up Pearl’s crib last week and it looks great!
It took so long for it to arrive (Mom and Dad bought it for us way back in MARCH) but it’s even nicer than we had remembered and Pearl seems to love it. She even slept from 9:00pm to 6:00am last night!!! We’re trying not to get too excited, but what a nice surprise to get more than a 4-hour stretch of sleep!
Pearl seemed to eat a little better yesterday which was also a huge relief. She’s still a little fussy around feeding time, but not nearly as much as she was earlier in the week.

The past few days have been a bit frustrating. Pearl has always been a very good eater, but recently she developed this thing where she freaks out whenever we give her a bottle! She’s completely happy sucking on her pacifier, but when we try to feed her she drinks a couple ounces then turns red and starts thrashing around. Have any of you parents out there experienced this? We took her to the pediatrician and she said Pearl is perfectly healthy so I’m not sure what’s going on here. We thought it was gas, but we’ve been making sure she’s thoroughly burped before and after we feed her so I guess we’ll keep struggling through the feedings and pray that this is just a faze.
Two very friendly men arrived yesterday afternoon with a couple of HUGE boxes. I'm going to see how it goes getting it all together tomorrow morning, then maybe tomorrow night Pearl will be sleeping in something more permanent. I can't wait to see the crib bedding we've had for months.
Also, we've noticed that Pearl is growing very very fast, so it will be nice to see her in a bigger bed – maybe she'll look even cuter and more tiny!
Lastly, the boxes dominate the living room and I'm anxious to get things setup Wish me luck, pictures to follow.
