By now, I hope most of you have received your wedding invitations. I would like all of you to know that Morgan and my Dad tied most of those ribbons! Mom and I weren’t so good at that so we were in charge of threading and trimming. Mom also did the beautiful calligraphy on the envelopes so I want to send both of my parents a big thank you for all their help!

We’ll be going upstate this weekend for the 4th of July so we’re hoping we can stop by the Rensselaerville Institute to see what it looks like when it’s not covered in snow and rain. This week we are also going to start picking out music for the reception. Our DJ has a website where we can start compiling a play list with our favorite songs so that should be fun too.

I hope you’re all having a great day!

Love,
Jill

Let's hear it for the Band(s)

So Jill and I went to our jewler to pick out our wedding bands this afternoon. We had looked a couple of times, and had pretty much made our mind up so it was pretty painless. We just missed our man Adam, but Emily was just as easy to work with. The store doesn’t work on commissions, so there was never any pressure to buy something more expensive. We told them our budget and they worked with us. They’re so nice over there that we’ve even had a casual look at anniversary gifts!

Afterward, we grabbed a quick bite in the food court of the Manhattan Mall. Nothing like an afternoon of fine jewlry and fast food to make you feel good. Jill and I are really relieved to have taken care this, so we’re feeling great this week.

I think invitation assembly begins this weekend…

We're making progress!

Hello!

It’s only three more months until we get married! Time is FLYING.

Like I said in my last post, Morgan, Mom and I recently went to N. Scali Florist in Hudson and discussed flowers with Mrs. Scali, Dominic Scali and Nancy. I have to say that I am very clueless as to what different flowers look like, smell like and when they bloom so I have to thank my Mom and Mrs. Scali for patiently helping me understand what was going on. The Scalis were so helpful and everyone (including Morgan) had a lot of great input.

This week we’re hoping to go shopping for wedding bands. We’re planning on getting them at the same jewelry store where Morgan got my engagement ring.

Tomorrow is the two-year anniversary of me and Morgan’s first date! What a great two years.

Hope you’re all having a great day.

Love,
Jill
